Hammer Dulcimer with stand
Hammer Dulcimer with stand
You will probably want new strings ($40) and an electric tuner is essential. There are many good sources for “how to get started with a hammer dulcimer” , music, videos, and spare parts etc. My favorite source is

There are two nice video clips on the page for hammer dulcimers. This hammer dulcimer is not made from a kit, but it is similar to the instrument shown on this page. You will also notice that the price is only about half as much as one of their new instruments.
This instrument is in Ocala FLorida, USA. Call: 352-207-6520 for information.
What you should know
This is a full size 17/16 Hammer Dulcimer hand crafted in the USA, in 1992 by the Luthier, Marnie Hutcheson. It has been lightly used and stored safely at all times. The Spruce top makes a great soundboard and contrast nicely with the hand carved rosewood heart shaped rosettes.
You must have a stand to play this instrument, and this one comes with a very nice hand made one-or-a-kind adjustable folding wood stand.
This is a beautiful sounding instrument in excellent condition with no cracks or serious scuffs.
