Warmblood., It is made with the very best
English leather, beautiful to see and touch. It is supple and
strong and takes a shine from polish that actually makes you feel good
about presentation. The chromed solid brass ornaments are all of the same
heart motif and all tear drops and winkers feature ornaments. The heavy
chromed solid brass rosettes and chain on the brow band make a beautiful picture from
far as well as near. |

Huskisson and Son, in England is correct with city
cart, gig, or phaeton.

The harness features many amenities not available from
harness makers in the US -- starting with the incredible quality of the
leather, which American makers simply cannot match, perhaps its most
important characteristic is the fit, it has NEVER left a mark on my horse,
never a chafe, or patch of white hair. None of my other harness
makers, can make that claim, including Zilco. Matching
ornaments of all the appropriate sizes are virtually impossible to find in
the US. And finally, Huskisson and Son has been making harness for 6
generations.
While it is true that only a few in the US appreciate these details,
the workmanship and clean lines of the harness compliment any horse and
have always gotten good marks in presentation. Huskisson is well known in England as fine harness makers,
supplying presentation harness to some of Britain's best drivers,
including George Bowman, and Prince Phillip.

The saddle, backstrap, and breeching. The breeching and trace holders
The yellow mark on the front of the winker is a reflection in the patent leather, not a defect. This beautiful bridle features the heavy chromed solid brass rosetts, chain and ornaments, --Heart ornaments on winkers and teardrop. Notice the fine stitching throughout, especially on the teardrop, and on the double buckle nose band. The square black lined winkers are favored in continental presentation style. Again, the yellow mark on the front of the winker is only a reflection in the patent leather. This hand flocked saddle is as comfortable as it is beautiful. At 5" wide it is a beautiful compliment for the warmblood substance. Saddle with back strap, breeching, and breeching staps. The teardrop trace hangers are removable. Notice the perfect balance of the breast colar as it hangs. The stitching detail matches the pattern on the breeching. The neck strap is generous and padded. The tein loops are attacked by a metal ring so that they can move forward and back to accomodate the rein angle during dressage and cones. The girth is padded and extra wide to provide the greatest comfort and stability. The heavy traces are front and back leather with a layer of nylon sewn inside for extra strength. Loop ends for perfect presentation on town vehicles. Traditional tanned natural leather front part for the untwisted clean line over the horse, with a glove leather back part to insure a comfortable grip for your hands..
